Clock is ticking for William Nylander, Maple Leafs

It’s hard to get through a day of hockey radio right now without hearing multiple takes on the ongoing negotiations between William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs, but with just over 48 hours left before the Dec. 1 deadline, there should be a conclusion of some sort very soon. The last unsigned restricted free agent must be under contract with an NHL team before 4 p.m. EST on Saturday or will be forced to sit out the entire season, something that neither side can possibly hope for at this point. Still, there has been little reported about an impending deal between the two sides since Chris Johnston of Sportsnet told viewers of Hockey Night In Canada that they were “believed to be rather close” to a deal that could pay Nylander around $6.9M on a long-term deal. As it readies a test for vaping additives, cannabis testing company Cannalysis raises $22 million

Cannalysis , a testing company for cannabis, has raised $22 million in a new round of financing as it prepares to bring a new test for vaping additives to the market. The test, which the company is preparing to unveil later this week, will test for the presence and amount of Vitamin E acetate, a chemical compound that may be linked to the aping related illness that has swept through the U.S. in the past month. Cannalysis chief executive Brian Lannon said the new product was developed in response to the current crisis in the cannabis industry over illnesses related to vaping cannabis products. “The big story that’s been going out over the last week isn’t the product that’s going out in cannabis, but an additive called Vitamin E acetate.
